Who are we?
Network is led by a group of people with experience in youth ministry and the Charismatic Renewal. Here you can find out a little bit more about us! From left to right, we are:
Sarah (aka Sam) Goldsmith- our very own historian extraordinaire, Sam spends much of her time trawling through dusty archives and giving guided tours. While she's not doing this, she has her mind set on co-leading Joel's Bar - the young adult stream of the 'Celebrate Conference'. Contact sarah@networkyouth.org.uk
Kofi Acheampong- has his hands full with a busy life as a pharmacist, as well as husband and dad to Adwoa and Talia. Kofi heads up youth ministry at the 'New Dawn in the Church' conference each August. Contact kofi@networkyouth.org.uk
Fiona (aka Fi) Mansford - Fi brings excellent experience to the Network team, having spent time with YWAM, the Nottingham Pilgrims, and as a lay chaplain at St Dominic's 6th Form College in Harrow. She is currently exploring ways to share more widely her passion for the Theology of the Body. Contact fiona@networkyouth.org.uk
Ian Yardley - most likely to be found demolishing part of the City of London in his dayjob as a construction manager, Ian also helps out with his parish confirmation programme and the Cross Streams programme at the 'New Dawn in the Church' conference. Contact ian@networkyouth.org.uk
Liam Lynch - husband to Lisa and dad to Pippa, Liam (otherwise known as Chaplain Fantastic) is chaplain at St Joan of Arc school in Rickmansworth. When he's not gigging with band Crossbeam or leading music at Soul Survivor, Liam's normally blogging. Contact liam@networkyouth.org.uk
Rebekah (aka Beki) Fairman- is a genuine child of Charismatic Renewal, having grown up through the childrens' streams at the 'Celebrate Conference'. When she was 19 she joined the Sion Community for Evangelism, where she is currently engaged in full-time mission work. Contact beki@networkyouth.org.uk
Matthew van Duyvenbode - Matthew was a youth outreach worker in the Diocese of Northampton for over 8 years. He now works for Bible Society, where he spends part of his time trying to support Catholics in engaging with Scripture. Matthew currently chairs the Network team. Contact matthew@networkyouth.org.uk
Fr. Simon Penhalagan - Fr. Simon was ordained for the Sion Community and the Northampton diocese in 2008. He worked for ten years as part of the Sion Community's youth ministry and has been heavily involved in Network for many years. He is currently President of the Sion community and chaplain for the team. |
